There was a standing ovation when Novice Fighters from the Welsh Academy of Martial Arts/Y.M.C.A. Kickboxing Club recently returned from a prestigious martial art event held in Birmingham on the 21st October 2001(after stealing the show) with the following Titles:
 
Jade Ellett aged 7 years  - 1st Place (Gold)
Lewis Richmond aged 6 years - 1st Place (Gold)
Thomas Jones aged 10 years - 2nd Place (Silver)
Jake Remnant aged 10 years - 2nd Place (Silver)
Sam Remnant aged 7 years - 2nd Place (Silver)
Luke Wagstaff aged 6 years  - 2nd Place (Silver)
Tomas Ellis aged 7 years - 2nd Place (Silver)
 
These youngsters are all novice fighters, and did extremely well to reach the final to fight for 1st - 2nd or 3rd place.  
 
Instructor Natasha Foscolo told the post "They all deserved to take 1st place Titles - It was a very close decision in every event".
